On June 13, 2010 at 9:24 PM, Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1 responded to a reported structure fire at 204 Alden Street in Troy.  Firefighter’s encountered heavy smoke in the residence and a fire on a cooktop stove.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, limiting fire damage to the stove, microwave and two cabinets.  Although, moderate smoke damage was present throughout the residence.

 

The resident of the home unintentionally left a burner on and placed a crock pot near it, then departed the residence for a short time.  Upon returning to the home, the resident found the fire and called 911.
